| Detonator | The detonator is basically a requirement on last while both attacking and defending due to how strong the sniper angles are. Using various windows you can easily track where the sniper is and spam him without having to peek. Allows great mobility on last as well, especially when you need to jump on the cart or traverse the upper areas quickly. Useful for clearing traps on offense, however Upward is less trap-centric than other [[Stopwatch\|payload]] maps. |
| Flare Gun | Viable primarily on defense. Allows you to quickly deal with threats and switch between focuses more efficiently. |
| Shotgun | Shotgun sees some use on upward, especially on the first two points. Some pyro's run it on offense and others on defense. The angles and range of fights are not great for this weapon, but there are pyros who see success with it. |
